Building up the Body of Christ with welcoming arms, loving hearts and joyful worship.
At a time when families have so many things to take care of, we offer luncheons to help relieve one worry. It is a way for the parish to show their concern and minister to them in their bereavement. Also, if you have experienced a family loss or the death of someone close, you may remember how much the gathering following the burial meant to you.
We are called into action on short notice when a family expresses interest. We rely on our list of volunteers whom we call to bake, cook or serve. They provide a welcoming and comforting atmosphere on behalf of our faith community.
Holy Archangels Parish Funeral Luncheon Ministry offers a meal for the family following a funeral. It is a wonderful opportunity to share a meal, share stories and to share an embrace before going home.
We hope you will consider helping us.
If you can bake cookies, make a salad or a dish to share, that’s all the talent you need. The number of funerals determines how often this ministry meets. If you are a server, it is about a 4 hour commitment, while cooks may be needed a little longer. We appreciate any amount of time that you can give, as your schedule allows.
