“Let us sing a new song, not with our lips, but with our lives.”
St. Augustine
We are very blessed with incredibly gifted choirs made up of St. Hubert parishioners who love to share their gift of music. As we go through these holy days, and into the Easter Season, St. Hubert Music Director, Ed Magistrado, selected a variety of music performed by our choirs for our spiritual enrichment and enjoyment.
As you listen to these beautiful selections, may your heart and soul be lifted to the Sacred Heart of the One we long to be with.
"Thanks Be to God" by Marty Haugen (b. 1950). I find this piece very fitting today as it gives praise and thanks to God despite the many adversities we have in life as it also gives hope for the future. The piece ends with "We shall overcome someday...Thank be to God." --Ed Magistrado
" Prayer of St. Francis" by A. Pote (b. 1945). Joan Baguios, soloist
A beautiful version of St. Francis of Assisi’s prayer and desire to bring the message of the gospel into world: “Make me a channel of your peace.”
"Laudate Dominum" by W. A. Mozart (1756-1791). Katie Cassara, soloist
Praise the Lord, all nations; Praise Him, all people. For He has bestowed His
mercy upon us, And the truth of the Lord endures forever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the
beginning, is now, and forever, and for generations of generations.
Amen.
