I want to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting our school and Catholic Education. As a ministry of the church, St. Hubert Catholic School works hard every day at growing servant leaders from the inside out, while maximizing the potential of every child. We celebrate the essential role we play in preparing our students to become successful scholars, responsible citizens, and faith-filled Catholics who will have a
life-long relationship with God.
As principal of the school, I have identified four areas of focus:
Curriculum. St. Hubert Catholic School has a strong academic record. Our students consistently perform above the national average in reading and math. In an effort to continue and strengthen this success, Father Mike and I are committed to adopting new curriculum for each of the disciplines on a rotating basis every year. Next year, our school will adopt a new math curriculum for grades K-8.
St. Hubert Catholic School is truly a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) School. Unlike many schools, our school is fortunate to still be able to offer our students weekly classes in Spanish, Gym, Art and Music. Moreover, students have the opportunity to be a part of a band program that has been led by the same band director for over thirty years, a youth choir and an after school Art Club.
We are beginning the process of becoming a STEM Certified School and will begin our St. Hubert Outdoor Ed program this spring.
Technology. Next year, our school will begin moving toward becoming a 1-1 school, the process ensuring that every child in our building has access to a Chromebook or IPad. Thank you for supporting our school in this process.
Marketing. The St. Hubert School Advisory Board has created a sub-committee that focuses on marketing, which includes dedicated parents and St. Hubert parishioners. We are currently working on increasing our social media presence, updating our marketing materials, and seeking the help of area parishes to get the word out about our Catholic School.
Staff Appreciation. Our teachers are the heart and soul of our school. They deserve to be respected and made aware of how much we appreciate them. This year we have created a hospitality committee to address this need.
Thank you for your continued support of our school, and of Catholic Education. We are an essential player in forming the next generation of Catholics. Please keep us in your prayers and come visit us. Father Mike and I value the relationship between the church and school. I am humbled and honored to serve you.
