February 2, 2019There are many negatives for the folks in need right now! People just making it by are now joined by the Government workers who need assistance too. Add snow with freezing temperatures and additional money is needed for heating bills, warmer clothes, etc.
I went through my kitchen cabinets. Anything that was expiring or just expired I brought to people living on the street. We do not accept expired food at church, but the people on the streets were more than happy to have it!
After going through our sweatshirts, coats, scarves and gloves, I brought items to a school close by where I know, first hand, that some children show up in flimsy coats, without hats or gloves.
If you’re willing to help others, bringing food to church is appreciated by so many! Please don’t forget toiletries, soaps and paper towels are also in need. Stay warm!
